Wake up to a fully-cooked breakfast! I love plugging my slow cooker in before bed when I have a house full of people. If my guests wake before I do, they can simply serve themselves.

You are a lifesaver!!
Wow, great idea to use the slow cooker for breakfast too. I just made the apple oatmeal recipe and used some leftover eggnog and ground hazelnut from holiday baking. YUM. Leftovers will make a great breakfast for the next few days :)
Peanut clusters for breakfast? You rock!
LOL, Melinda! how'd that get in there...
:-)
So...how do you get around the short cooking times for these? Most breakfast foods I love, at least the slow-cooking ones, are hard to stretch beyond maybe 3-4 hours total cooking time, and despite the fact that I often DO only get 3-4 hours actual sleep, I wouldn't want to plan for it as though it were a good thing! Any way to negotiate this kind of thing? Can you cook before bed and leave things on warm all night? Or....?
I usually end up turning the crock on at 10 or 11 pm, and after the cooking is done, the food stays on warm until wake-up time. This is one of the best uses for a programmable slow cooker.
;-)
you should have put #14 as #1...IMHO
Oh, I have family coming in for the holidays!! can't wait to try one or two of these out!!
I bought one of the timers that are used to turn your lamps on when you are not home, $2.00) at the dollar store and I plug my crock pot into that and set it so it is done when we get up in the morning.
Thank you wifeofbrian! What a great idea! Thank you Stephanie for all the great recipes using the crockpot!
